PLOT:
Home is somewhere else is the award-winning independent animation film that tells three endearing stories of young people who share their fears and hopes about what it means to live in fear of family separation in the United States. Jasmine, an 11-year-old girl, goes to the White House to fight to keep her family together; sisters Evelyn and Elizabeth exchange plans where, no matter how hard they try, they cannot build a future together; and José Eduardo Aguilar “El Deportee” has turned Spanglish into a weapon of activism to defend his generation of deportees, rapping his poetry out loud.
