Manuel is a farmer of a village in the mountains of eastern Honduras. He aspires to be a musician, but he quickly realizes that his only sponsors are the powerful drug bosses who terrorize his region. When a song he writes infuriates a dangerous drug cartel, Manuel is forced to flee his home in Honduras to go to the United States. You are miles away from your home, your family and your music. From a radio booth in North Carolina, Manuel recounts his escape to death and describes the challenges of assimilating a new world as an undocumented immigrant.
